Prepared a foundation report for a MSE abutment on a pile foundation. Rock core probes at each pile location to locate voids in the karst bedrock and establish bottom of pile elevations for predrilling. The pile foundation consisted of H-piles driven to absolute refusal in the predrilled holes and backfilled with concrete to the bottom of the MSE wall, then encased with pea gravel through the height of the MSE wall to the bottom of the stub abutment.
